Realizations and Revelations: #EntreprenuerLifestyle

Dear Diamonds,

I have been an active entrepreneur for almost four years now. I’ve thrown myself into my work. I live it. I breathe it. I believe in it. I pray over it. Over the years, I choose to lean on wisdom, multiple mentors, and Jesus.

My journey started at 21 years old when I decided to start a non-profit initiative called “Homeless Hopes”. At the time, I was beginning to overcome homelessness after being homeless a record 7 times from fleeing domestic abuse. I was beginning to overcome obesity and an active eating disorder. I was fascinated and passionate about culinary medicine. After witnessing the malnutrition of the local homeless community, I became committed to nourishing their bodies and minds in ways that they could not do for themselves. One day I told myself, “Homeless Hopes could benefit the general public”, thus Hope’s Kitchen Eateries was born.

In conclusion, I have found my purpose in life and I turned it into multiple brands. Now I operate a non-profit initiative for at-risk teens and youth, damaged young adults, and the homeless. I have my own culinary brand that hosts a variety of services. I have also developed my own music brand that compliments and promotes the culinary brand. I even have my own cleaning service that is currently underground and undergoing development. Below, I have listed scriptures that I live by that give me guidance, strength, direction, instruction, and discernment when making professional decisions. To all my fellow entrepreneurs, take these scriptures and run with them!

Scriptures for Entrepreneurs:

“Trust in the LORD and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper.”

Psalms 37:3 NLT

“Commit everything you do to the LORD. Trust him, and he will help you.”

Psalms 37:5 NLT

“He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.”

Psalms 23:3-4 NLT

“Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty.”

Proverbs 21:5 NLT

“Wealth from get-rich-quick schemes quickly disappears; wealth from hard work grows over time.”

Proverbs 13:11 NLT

“Give freely and become more wealthy; be stingy and lose everything.”

Proverbs 11:24 NLT

“Yes, and everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. But evil people and impostors will flourish. They will deceive others and will themselves be deceived. But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught. You know they are true, for you know you can trust those who taught you. You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus.”

2 Timothy 3:12-15 NLT
